[2022-2학기 삼성꿈장학재단 글로벌 희망 장학생 선발 안내]
삼성꿈장학재단은 개발도상국에서 우리나라로 유학 온 우수한 대학생/대학원생들을 <글로벌 희망 장학생>으로 선발하여 지원하고 있습니다. 아래의 내용을 참고하시기 바랍니다.
1. 지원자격(학부, 대학원생 모두 지원 가능)
- DAC List of ODA Recipients 명단에 있는 개발도상국 출신자
- 가정 경제상황이 어려운 자
- 학업수행능력(언어, 성적)이 우수한 자
- 졸업 후, 본국으로 돌아가 고국에 기여할 의지, 잠재력이 있는 자
- 재단에서 진행하는 각종 교육에 적극적으로 참여할 자
※ DAC 수원국 명단에 있는 개발도상국 출신자라도 한인교포는 제외함.
※ 학교별로 한 개 국가 당 장학생 수가 2명 이하여야 함.
※ 코로나 19로 인해 온라인 수업이 진행되더라도, 한국에 거주하여 학습보조비가 필요한 학생을 우선 지원함.
2. 선정기준
- 장학금 필요도 (경제적 상황)
- 학업(연구) 수행능력(성적, 수상경력, 연구계획 등)
- 어학 준비도(한국어 혹은 영어 말하기, 글쓰기)
- 한국 대학(원) 진학동기 및 전공선택의 타당성
- 학업계획의 구체성 및 수행의지
- 진로계획의 구체성 및 사회기여 의지
- 사회봉사 경험 및 졸업후의 사회기여 의지
3. 장학금액
- 학부생: 학업보조비(학기당 최대 390만원)
- 대학원생: 등록금 혹은 학업보조비(학기당 최소 350만 원-최대 500만 원)
※ 대학원생의 경우 타 장학금 수혜여부에 따라 장학금을 차등 지급함
4. 지원기간
- 학부생: 최대 8학기 (정규학기 기준)
- 대학원생: 석사과정은 최대 4학기, 박사과정은 최대 6학기(정규학기 기준)
5. 선정절차 및 진행일정
- 신청서 제출(성균관대 외국인유학생지원팀): 2022. 7. 8.(금) 오후 5시까지*
※ 외국인유학생지원팀 방문 또는 우편 제출(우편제출의 경우 8일까지 도착하는 서류에 한하여 인정)
(방문처: 인사캠 국제관 90212호 / 자과캠 학생회관 03101호)
(우편주소: 서울특별시 종로구 성균관로 25-2 국제관 90212호, 외국인유학생지원팀 장학담당자 앞)
※ 우편 수령인을 장학담당자 앞으로 기재하지 않아 발생하는 불이익(서류 누락 등)에 대해서는 구제 불가
- 1차 서류심사 결과발표(장학재단): 2022. 8. 10.(수)**
- 2차 면담심사(장학재단): 2022. 8. 24.(수)~26.(금)***
- 최종 선정자 발표: 2022. 8. 31.(수)
- 장학금 지급: 9월
** 1차 서류심사 종료 후, 서류심사 통과자에게 2차 면담심사 안내 예정
*** 2차 면담심사는 재단 사무국에서 대면으로 진행예정

7. 서류 제출기한
: 2022. 7. 8.(금)까지 (기한 엄수)
8. 기타사항
- 졸업생 혹은 중도탈락자가 나오는 경우에만 신규 학생을 모집합니다. 신규 장학생을 선발할 경우에는, 해당 대학의 담당부서로 학기가 시작되기 2개월 전에 안내를 드립니다.
- 재단 장학생의 구성이 특정 국가에 집중되지 않고, 다양성을 확보하기 위하여 각 학교의 국가별 장학생 수를 최대 2명으로 제한하고 있습니다.

[Notice for Global Hope Scholarship Application, Fall semester 2022]
Global Hope Scholarship Program supports international students in Korea from developing countries become future leaders who can aid the development of their home countries, community, etc.
Please read the following information.
1. Qualification for Applying(Undergraduate & Graduate)
- Students from nationality of a country in the DAC List of ODA Recipients
- Students experiencing financial difficulties for study
- Students who have proven academic excellence including language proficiency
(Korean, English)
- Students who have a high probability of returning to their home country and
supporting its development
2. Contents of support
- Undergraduate level: Academic support scholarships
(Maximum of KW 3,900,000 per semester)
- Graduate level: Tuition or academic support scholarships
(Minimum of KW 3,500,000-Maximum of KW 5,000,000 per semester)
3. Period of support
- Undergraduate: maximum 8 academic semesters
- Master course: maximum 4 academic semesters
- Doctoral course: maximum 6 academic semesters
4. Process of Selection and Operation Schedule
- Applications(to SKKU Office of International Student Services): 5PM, 8 Jul 2022*
※ Applications should be submitted to SKKU OISS, by visiting or postal services
(In case of using postal service, the documents only have been arrived by 8 July can be accepted.)

- Final Selection result Announcement: 31 Aug 2022
- Payment of Scholarship grants: September
** After the Document assessment, the result will be notifed to each applicant
*** Interview will be held on the scholarship foundation, by face-to-face

7. Note
- There is a limit to the number of students allowed in each university. This means someone has to graduate from that school in order for a new spot to open.
- We also limit the number of scholars from a particular country at each school for the sake of diversity.
