Recruitment of Student Participants for the 14th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS)

Please find below the announcement for participants of the 14th University Scholars Leadership Symposium (USLS). This program is an international leadership symposium to be held at the United Nations Conference Centre in Bangkok, Thailand, from Tuesday, August 4 to Friday, August 7, 2026. It is designed as a global forum where young leaders from around the world can come together to learn about major global issues, discuss solutions to social challenges, and engage in meaningful exchange. Today’s world faces complex and interconnected challenges, including climate change, growing inequality, rapid technological change, and shifting geopolitical dynamics. In this context, it is increasingly important for younger generations to develop not only academic excellence, but also strong values, leadership, and global awareness. This symposium has been designed to help students build these essential qualities. Participants will have the opportunity to take part in the following programs: Interactive capacity-building workshops facilitated by United Nations agencies Exhibition programs introducing major UN initiatives Networking opportunities with international speakers, humanitarian practitioners, and students from around the world Kindness Day, a community service activity promoting empathy and social engagement This program will be a valuable opportunity for students who demonstrate leadership potential, empathy, and a strong interest in social issues and positive change. It is expected to provide meaningful international exposure beyond the classroom and help participants grow into globally minded leaders.
