Founded in 1999, we have developed a wide range of English language teaching and learning resources. We currently export both print and digital media products to over 50 countries around the world.
Location: Seoul Office (Head Office)- Yangjae, Seocho-gu
Job Description: You’ll be a member of the global business team. This particular position focuses on developing leads, increasing sales, and driving growth in new markets. The successful candidate will work to generate leads and develop existing leads into fruition for our full list of products and services.
Sales Role & Responsibility:
- Develop new business strategies to expand sales for print and digital offerings
- Lead the development of new accounts in new markets and existing markets
- Support senior regional sales managers on various tasks
- Support distributors on various tasks
- Support accounts payable and receivable data management
- Arrange and manage licensing and permissions of content use
- Work overseas at trade shows and conferences
Marketing Role & Responsibility:
- Ideation, development, execution, and review of inbound and outbound marketing campaigns
- Market research
- Alignment of product development with market needs
- Trade show and conference planning and execution
- Generation, vetting, and follow up to the sales result of qualified leads
- Developing and performing presentations and workshops on Woongjin Compass products
- Work with interdepartmental project teams to support new product development
Qualifications of Ideal Candidate:
Skills and abilities
- A fluent English speaker and have some Korean language ability
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PPT)
- Knowledge of export practices for international trade
- Fundamental understanding or ability to understand technical aspects of digital publishing, an asset
Education and experience
- A Bachelor Degree or higher related to business, education, and/or technology
- Minimum 2 years full-time professional experience related to publishing, sales & marketing, and/or educational content
- Must meet qualifications for E-7 visa, hold an F visa, or be a Korean national
- Sales and marketing experience or experience in publishing, preferable
- TESOL/ CELTA or other ESL/EFL training, an asset

- A self-starter, a team player, highly organized, good problem solving ability and a natural desire to produce high-quality materials and results, but also able to take direction
- Personable, able to build business relationships and continue working with clients abroad
- Commitment to personal and professional development
- Must be a good public speaker and communicator, and be comfortable in front of an audience
- Regular international travel involved, must be prepared to work abroad whenever needed
- Committed and dedicated professional with long-term vision and aspirations within the industry
Staff Level: Coordinator (사원)
Compensation Package: A competitive compensation package is provided dependent on qualifications.
International Travel: Yes/ International travel is required
Vacation Days: Provided in accordance with Korean law and company policy
Hours: Full Time
Pension: Paid in accordance with Korean law
Health Insurance: Provided in accordance with Korean law
Severance Pay: One month salary earned per year of employment in accordance with Korean law.
Projected Start Date: December 2016 (The start date is flexible for the right candidate)
